The Best Connection are seeking 7.5 tonne drivers who have a keen interest in working for a furniture distributor in Rochester.

The role itself requires you to deliver IKEA products throughout the south east of England.

The typical day would involve reporting for duty at 06:00am, you will then be presented with your delivery notes for the day, and informed of any safety procedures that you are required to follow at specific locations. Before leaving the depot, it is crucial that you complete a vehicle check, ensuring that there are no faults or damages that you consider a risk to your safety. Once these procedures have been completed, you will then commence to your deliveries, ensuring that you maintain a high level of customer service when you arrive to the locations. In some cases you may be required to help unload the vehicle with a contact at the site. If there are any delivery issues throughout the day, you can call the client, who will be happy to assist you. Once you have completed your shift, you are required to complete a timesheet, which will be authorized by the client, and then you are required to send the timesheet to 'The Best Connection' in order for us to payroll the shift.

You will be required to do anywhere between 10-20 drops.You will be on a weekly rota, that will consist of 4 days. A normal day will finish around 16:00pm.

Please Note: You will be appointed with a drivers mate, from The Best Connection, who will assist you with the day to day duties.

To begin, you are required to contact The Best Connection branch in order to book an appointment to come into the office and complete all relevant registration forms.

Pay rates:

£11.75 Per Hour (Monday-Friday)

You will always be paid a minimum of 8 hours should your shift finish early.

(Please note we offer an increased rate of pay for weekend work, and also if you possess your own Limited Company)

To be eligible for this position, you must possess the following:

- Driving Licence with C1 entitlement
- Digi-Card
- CPC
- Positive attitude and work ethic
- Reliability
- Flexibility
- Good Communication Skills
