We are working with an established electrical manufacturer in the Rochester area who are looking to employ a Materials Buyer permanently, in office.

You must hold a clean driving license with your own vehicle as there is no public transport to the site.

The package includes a competitive salary, 25 days holiday, a bonus scheme, pension, secure on-site parking, and company socials within a friendly team!

Duties of this role:

The Material Buyer is responsible for sourcing and purchasing the best quality products, goods, and services at the most competitive prices to meet the operational needs of the organisation. This includes supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management, the Material Buyer will also ensure the purchasing data is maintained with in the ERP system and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.

Requirements for this role:

* Proven purchasing experience. (Min 3 years).
* Experience in the specific relevant industry Manufacturing or Engineering.
* Knowledge of market research, data analysis, and purchasing best practices.
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
* Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to communicate.
* Ability to work autonomously, using own initiative.
* Strong co-ordination, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
* Excellent organisational skills and ability to multi-task.
* The ability to build effective collaborative working relationships.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
