Venrec are pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client based in Sittingbourne, Kent for an experienced Forklift Counterbalance Truck Driver.

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

- Essential to hold a valid national accredited B1 forklift certificate
- Yard/ Warehouse background is preferred
- Minimum of 1 year’s recent experience operating a forklift
- Good literacy/ numeracy skills
- Ability to work within a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining all aspects of Health & Safety

The role entails:

- Manual Handling
- Operating a Counterbalance forklift (up to 5 tonnes)
- Order Picking/ Scanning
- Manual handling
- General housekeeping + varied other duties

Prior to commencing this role there will be an interview/ assessment beforehand with the client and a full-on site induction.

The rate of pay for this vacancy is:-

- £11.82 per hour (up to 48 hours)
- Time and a half is paid over 48 hours/ Saturdays (first 6 hours), then Double time there after + holiday pay.
- Our client requires flexibility as the starting shift pattern will be Monday to Friday 10.30am – 8.00pm (including Saturday work when required)
- This role offers an immediate start for the successful candidate and once the probationary period has been completed the successful candidate will have the opportunity of a full-time opportunity with the client.
