An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Management Accountant with a fully funded qualification.

My client are looking for someone with Maths & English GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade B or above, and an AAT qualification or something similar. Experience with purchase and sales ledger systems, payroll systems, and financial systems is a must.

This is a full-time, permanent position (37 hours per week).

As a Trainee Management Accountant, you'll be a key player in their Operations team, helping to meet their core finance responsibilities. You'll work closely with their existing to deliver accurate monthly management accounts. This role will grow overtome and includes a fantastic CCAB training package.



Your Key Responsibilities

* Monthly Accounts: Team up with our finance gurus to deliver accurate monthly management accounts.
* Financial Processes: Handle accruals, prepayments, and ensure accurate income/expenditure accounting.
* Budgeting System: Keep our IMP budgeting system updated for precise financial modeling.
* Financial Reporting: Prepare reports and calculations as needed.
* Statutory Returns: Help complete these essential documents.
* Payroll Reconciliations: Ensure payroll accuracy within a £5 tolerance.
* Internal Recharges: Manage monthly recharges between Academies and the Central Team.
* Month-End Duties: Assist with schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and audit preparations.
* Fixed Asset Registers: Help maintain these records.
* Budget Preparation: Assist in creating effective balanced budgets.
* Cash Flow Forecasts: Monitor and prepare rolling 24-month forecasts.
* Query Handling: Support the Central Finance Team by addressing queries promptly and professionally.
* Year-End Audit: Help ensure auditors have all the information they need.
* Financial Practices: Maintain accounts per the Trust's Financial Procedures Manual.
* Fund Accounting: Review transactions to ensure accuracy.

Administrative & Resource Support

* Admin Support: Provide administrative help to our Finance Managers.
* Tech Savvy: Use relevant ICT packages (e.g., MS Office, Arbor) effectively.
* Report Creation: Assist in developing reports and finance guidance documents.
