Universal Machinist

Job Purpose

We are seeking a skilled machinist to join our MPBU Machine Shop, where you will play a crucial role in the overhaul and salvage of components.

Roles and Responsibilities

* Execute a variety of machining tasks such as Precision Grinding, Honing, Boring, Milling, Turning, CNC Turning, and fitting of Bush/Bearing components.
* Aid in monitoring and managing stock levels of bonded metals and consumable items.
* Participate in the implementation of shop floor improvement initiatives.
* Uphold stringent quality standards in all machining operations.
* Promote and maintain a culture focused on Continuous Improvement and exemplary housekeeping.
* Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of machinery and equipment.

Experience, Qualifications, and Competencies

* Proficient in both numeracy and literacy, with a minimum qualification of GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

Working Hours

* Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:45
* Friday: 08:00 - 15:45
