My client is seeking a proactive Workshop Supervisor to join our team and eventually succeed our current supervisor upon their retirement. You will need to be forward thinking and ready to take charge in a dynamic manufacturing environment, leading the shop floor operations, and ensuring our high standards are consistently met. Overseeing a team of skilled professionals, manage ongoing projects, and handle daily operations including team scheduling, absences, discipline, and performance reviews.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and oversee a highly skilled team, ensuring all projects adhere to company standards.
* Utilise a hands-on management approach, ideally with experience in Lathe, Mill, and Brake Press machinery.
* Manage daily operations, including scheduling, managing absences, discipline, and continuing annual reviews.
* Ensure comprehensive coverage across all team disciplines.
Qualifications:
* Proven leadership experience in a similar supervisory role is preferred.
* Hands-on experience with Lathe, Mill, and Brake Press machinery.
* Ability to oversee projects from design to completion.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
