Position: Sports Culture and Service Coordinator

Location: Folkestone, Kent

Role: Permanent / Full Time

Salary: £21.500 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week during term time (32 weeks) plus an additional 4 weeks



Our client is an independent, day and boarding, sixth form college and is part of a group of elite educational establishments. They offer a gold standard A-level programme in traditional subjects providing the best academic preparation for entry into the world's most competitive universities.



The role of Sports Culture and Service Coordinator offers a fantastic opportunity to enhance your skills in communication, organisation, leadership, and administration. We seek an enthusiastic, adaptable, and motivated individual to join their dedicated team.



In this role, you will be responsible for organising and delivering top-quality trips, events, sports, and creative activities. You will collaborate with school staff and external suppliers to design and implement an engaging and innovative activity and excursion program.



This full-time position requires 40 hours per week during term time (32 weeks) plus an additional 4 weeks. Hours are flexible, with some evening and weekend work expected when supporting trips and events.



This is an exciting role, where you can really make it your own, organising and supporting trips to London, theatres, sporting events, cities in the UK as well as trips abroad, to New York and skiing for example.



Qualifications



* 5 GCSE's, including Maths and English, and 2 A-Levels or equivalent
* Current First Aid qualification (although this can be arranged if necessary).



Essential Experience



* Knowledge and experience working with relevant Health and Safety legislation/regulations
* Experience working both collaboratively and independently
* Experience working with relevant regulatory bodies and using appropriate policies and processes
* Proven experience of event planning
* Interested in, and able to organise trips, events and activities such as day trips to London, overseas trips, liaising with local facilities to book and arrange sports hire
* High level of organisational skills and time management
* Ability to record and analyse data
* Able to adapt quickly to change and be flexible
* Effective communicator
* Flexible and a team player
* Able to motivate and encourage large groups of teenagers
* Able to address large groups of young people
* 18 years of age or over
* Willing to carry out manual duties
* Able to sustain long periods of physical activity
* Actively enjoy spending time with children/teenagers



Desirable Experience



* Current First Aid certificate
* Current RLSS lifesavers qualification
* Previous summer school experience
* Experience of working with children and/or teenagers
* Competent sports/games person with knowledge of the rules and organisation of one or more sports
* Knowledge of overseas visa application processes.
