Position: Health and Safety Manger

Location: Folkestone, Kent

Role: Permanent

Salary: £30,000 per annum (upwards, depending on experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year



Our client is an independent, day and boarding, sixth form college and is part of a group of elite educational establishments. They offer a gold standard A-level programme in traditional subjects providing the best academic preparation for entry into the world's most competitive universities.



An exciting opportunity has opened for a Health and Safety Manager to join the College. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities, and we are looking for someone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, resourceful, and adaptable.



The successful candidate will oversee and manage various support functions at the College, including premises, health and safety, site security, site maintenance, and utilities.



Key responsibilities include producing risk assessments in compliance with relevant legislation and statutory guidelines. You will also manage the premises team, ensuring the efficient execution of planned maintenance and handling unplanned emergencies.



You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to provide efficient and effective premises management services.



Qualifications and Experience



* Qualified to GCSE level or equivalent
* Health and safety qualification i.e. IOSH, NEBOSH
* Right to work in the UK.
* Three or more years' experience in Facilities Management or related field.
* Computer literate, with experience of data handling IT systems (including GoogleSuite, Excel, PowerPoint and diary management using Google).



This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, with 33 days of holiday per annum, inclusive of statutory bank holidays.
