We are seeking a skilled Sheet Metal Fabricator/Welder to join our team at the Lift Interior Company. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and welding metal components to create high-quality bespoke lift interior components.

The Lift Interior Company was formed in 2006 to offer a dedicated, bespoke and reliable service to the lift industry. We offer an extensive service covering all aspects of lift finishes from customer concept, design, material procurement, fabrication, installation and final handover.

Responsibilities:

- Assemble and fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings and specifications.

- Perform welding and operate welding equipment to weld metal parts as required

- Utilise knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve issues in the fabrication process.

- Work with sheet metal to cut, bend, and shape materials accurately

- Use hand tools and power tools effectively to complete fabrication tasks.

- Conduct welding activities such as MIG, TIG, or Arc welding as required.

- Ensure all welded parts meet quality standards and specifications.

- Perform basic mathematical calculations for measurements and material requirements.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a manufacturing environment

- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.

- Previous experience with the use of Lathe, Guillotine and Brake press.

- Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

- Skilled in fabricating metal components with precision and accuracy.

- Knowledge of different welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, Stick welding.

- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet production deadlines.

An individual with experience with an Amada Laser Cutter would have an advantage over other candidates.

Salary range £13-£17 per hour dependent on experience - to be dicussed at interview.
