Correction Quality Control Engineer

From £25k to £35pa depending upon experience

A rare and great opportunity for a Precision Engineer to inspect and correct fine tolerance machine parts. This will definitely be a new chapter in your engineering career or a completely fresh start in this very specialized field.

Would suit an individual with toolmaking or centre lathe turning skills and the ability to work to micron tolerances. You will be given full training and support by our current team. The successful candidate must be self -motivated and ultimately capable of working without direct supervision.

Responsibilities:

- To inspect profile wheels for accuracy against technical engineering drawings.
- To modify finished forms if necessary to ensure full compliance to drawings within specified tolerances.
- Working on surface, optical profile grinders and inspection equipment to achieve these intricate profiles.

Skills:

- A calm and patient approach to issues and their resolution
- Focus, concentration and attention to detail
- Good hand / eye co-ordination.
- Hands on person.
- Problem solving
- Be able to make decisions on your own
- Team player
- Ideally from a machining background (not essential)
- Familiarity with technical drawings (not essential)
