IslandWorks are looking for a Community and Events Coordinator.

IslandWorks is based in Sheerness, Kent and are looking for someone to join their growing team.

This opportunity will be ideally suited for someone who is able to be flexible with hours and work using their own initiative.

Responsibilities

• Promoting, attracting, and supporting Coworking members and the Coworking space
• Promoting, booking and liaising with customers for our meeting rooms and event space
• Liaising with our onsite catering team and third-party partners
• Marketing the overall space to attract new clients
• Developing and promoting our own events such as craft fairs, art exhibitions and artisan fairs

About You

• Organised
• An exceptional eye for detail and precision
• A team player with great communication skills and the ability to work independently and across the team
• Good communication skills
• Basic computer skills (composing emails, researching online etc)
• Social media knowledge (Preferred)
• Have a UK driving licence (Preferred)

About Us

IslandWorks opened in 2023 offering Coworking, event space hire, meeting room hire, and a public coffee lounge located at the recently beautifully refurbished Sheerness Dockyard Church. There is onsite parking and a 3 minute walk from the train station.

IslandWorks is part of Fruitbowl Media who currently operates three Coworking spaces across Kent, as well 2 public coffee shops within our Coworking spaces and is also a digital agency.

Job Types: Permanent, Flexible
Salary: £14 per hour

This role is for a minimum of 20 hours a week on a flexible rota that will include occasional Saturdays.
