We are working with a prominent educational establishment to resource for a Group Deputy Director of People. The role's function will be to provide support to the People team, supporting Managers, departments and staff to achieve outcomes based on providing top-quality people service, providing same to students. You will also lead on the shared service provision of the People Service for training.

The ideal candidate must be highly knowledgeable and have practical experienced around employment law/legislation, as well as safeguarding and vetting, and have line management experience. You will be looking at trends and analysis as well, but also delivering on the ground, as this position holds quite a large Business Partnering portfolio.

Salary is £46,437 to £53,787 - dependent upon experience, with excellent benefits to include:

If you have the following, we'd love to hear from you:

* Relevant qualifications, including MCIPD, with a Graduate member status of CIPD accompanying Level 7 CIPD qualification.
* Experience of HR Project management, a proven track record in absence and performance management, knowledge and previous experience of using HR databases to analyse data and trends.
* Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and best practice, safeguarding & vetting, and previous line management experience.
* Ability to deal with complex and sensitive cases.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills on a one to one or group basis, including the ability to develop and write policy, guidance, Executive Group and other reports.
* Ability to deal concurrently with multiple complex issues.
