We have an immediate start for a strong Supply Chain Manager with responsiblity for developing and implementing a supply strategy that delivers the lowest total cost, reduces inventory, and maximises customer satisfaction through a world class service. Supporting the business for a minimum of 3 months, offering a competitve salary and package for the right person with a fixed term contract directly with the Employer.

£Good competitive basic - Monday to Friday 07.30 to 16.30. 25+8 days holiday per year, perks and parking. The company promotes a strong focus on staff engagement and culture and the same behaviours are required for this role.

You will have a strong leadership skills, having managed a team in a similar level role and from within a manufacturing environment, with a good understanding of flows and balance around stock control with solid IT, communication and negotiation skills. Potentially some travel to UK, Europe and sometimes worldwide should this appointment continue beyond the initial fixed term.

* Experience in a supply chain role dealing with electronics, metal fabricators, optics and plastic fabricators is desired.
* Good technical background in manufacturing (not essential but desirable)
* Degree, CIPS qualification, Diploma or equivalent (not essential but desirable)
* Has experience in mitigating risk within a Supply Chain.
* Proven track record of achievement in a relevant position
* Excellent understanding of MRP, ERP systems
* Able to demonstrate previous experience of designing and implementing supply chain strategies.
