Your new company

You will be joining a small housing association based near Croydon. They provide affordable homes in London and the South East, to those who struggle to afford private rent. They pride themselves on their high standards, values, and green policy. This is an ongoing temp role, part-time, 3 days per week.

Your new role

You will be joining a small, close-knit finance team of 4, reporting into the Finance Director. You will be responsible for:

* Managing and helping set service charges
* Managing leaseholder records and accounts
* Preparing month-end and year-end management accounts together with a summary report on variances
* Month-end / year-end reporting tasks
* Maintaining the nominal ledger and cost centres
* Monitoring the Association's cash and treasury position
* Maintaining property and fixed asset registers
* Controlling and analysing all utility services including gas, electricity, water and PV cells.

What you'll need to succeed

You will bring experience in a housing association, working on service charge. You will be confident in producing first draft management accounts, including journals and fixed assets. You will be strong on accounting software, including Excel - VLOOKUPs and SUMIF. You will be positive, personable and ready to work as part of a team. You'll be immediately available or on short notice, and able to commute to Croydon.

What you'll get in return

You will receive up to £26ph, and 25 days of annual leave plus Bank Holidays. You will be able to work on a hybrid pattern after probation. This is a long-term temporary role, going into 2024.
