Assistant Management Accountant | North Kent | Up to £36K

This is an exciting opportunity for a part/newly qualified accountant to join a Global organisation as an Assistant Management Accountant based in their North Kent Head Office. This role is fully office based working a 37.5 hours a week.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, motivated, and enthusiastic individual looking for an opportunity to progress their Accountancy career as the role will come with study support if needed.

You will be responsible for: -

Assisting with preparing the monthly management accounts inclusive of balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting the Management Accountant with month-end routines
Assisting the Operational site Managers in the absence of the Management Accountant
Responsible for daily and weekly Cashbook reconciliations for all sterling and foreign currency bank accounts
Accountable for monthly processing and reconciliations of company credit card statements
Management of monthly/quarterly petty cash postings and reconciliations
Supporting Accounts Payable and Receivable when required
Assisting with the UK year-end financial reporting and annual statutory audit including producing lead schedules
Assisting with the preparation of information for the annual budgeting process
Monthly Intercompany Reconciliations with worldwide Pentagon offices
Preparing and submitting monthly HSE figures
Office for National Statistics submissions
Ad-Hoc Accounts Reporting & other Duties as required

You will need: -

AAT qualified or actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA (Minimum requirement to have completed level 1) qualification
12-18 months’ experience within a Finance function of medium-sized business or general ledger position
Knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102)
Organisational skills and attention to detail
Good communication skills and a team player
Ability to prioritise
Forward thinking. Proactive, not reactive
Basic to intermediate Excel skills
