Great opportunity to join a highly successful Financial Services business who pride themselves on creating a collaborative, creative and respectful culture. This FP&A Analyst role is a newly created position to help drive ambitious growth plans during a period of transformative business strategy.
The main purpose of the role is supporting analysis and reporting of the organisations performance, key parts in budgeting and presentations for high level stakeholders. You will also be involved in providing key support to the new and evolving department, helping to design, embed and execute new processes, working closely and with the guidance of senior employees.
This role offers the opportunity learn under a senior structure, improve materially to business processes, and play a visible role in execution of company strategy objectives.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management information packs, for both financial and data.
• Quantitative analysis of results and performance, writing supporting narrative, for both financial and data.
• Resolution of ad hoc work and solving novel problems.
• Liaising with senior members of staff to understand business drivers
• Assist in managing timetables for monthly, quarterly and year end reporting
• Drive continuous improvement within finance, reviewing and streamlining processes as required.
• Communicate and collaborate with a range of business functions to collate data, including with group colleagues
• Process data, including carbon emission data
• Respond to ad hoc data requests
• Supporting functions outside of FP&A, using Excel (Power Query or similar advantages) to improve the process/spreadsheet
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
• Part qualified/actively studying towards an accountancy qualification
• Experience within financial services (insurance, asset management or banking) desirable
• Excellent data analysis skills
• Intermediate Excel user (with scope to improve under existing team) and proficient at PowerPoint
• Self-starter, inquisitive with drive to follow up on issues or problems
• Ability to work on projects as required,
• Ability to work collaboratively and foster relations across the Group (good communication skills)
• Ability to use MS Power Query (or similar) to drive efficiencies would be a bonus
