Health and Safety Consultant-Part-Time
£35000 - £40000 per annum + Pro rata

We are recruiting a Health and Safety Consultant on behalf of one of our clients initially on a part-time basis, two-three days per week. You will hold a Nebosh qualification and have at least one years experience in a similar role.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities will include:
* Carry out risk assessments and consider how risks can be reduced.
* Outline safe operational procedures which identify and take into account all relevant hazards.
* Carry out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented.
* Ensure working practices are safe and comply with legislation.
* Prepare Health & Safety strategies and develop internal policy.
* Lead training with manager and employees about Health and Safety issues and risks.
* Keep inspection findings and produce reports that suggest improvements.
* Record incidents and accidents for manager.
* Keep up to date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all HSE legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry.
* Ensure equipment is installed safely.
* Advise on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, COSHH, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.
* Review Trade Contactors SSOW including training and insurance.
Have knowledge of Resource available to be able to implement any necessary equipment and or changes if, and when required.
