Job Purpose

The Dry Lining Trainer will plan for and deliver construction courses within custodial setting and in the community in order to prepare prisoners for employment upon release. You will set high expectations for the work environment and your learners in terms of security, health and safety and outcomes for learners.

Core Responsibilities

* Provide both accredited and unaccredited training in Dry Lining in accordance with awarding organisation criteria.
* The ability to manage an in custody workshop and have effective classroom management skills, creating the expected behaviours; leading by example.
* Plan engaging and challenging sessions and assessment with course material that meets the need of individual learners.
* Actively engage learners in their own evaluation and assessment. Including ensuring you maintain group profiles, individual learning plans, lesson plans and schemes of learning, ensuring additional learning support needs are central to delivery.
* Ensure daily registers, enrolment forms, learner data and assessment planning are carried out effectively and in line with delivery partner requirements.
* Support the monitoring of delivery and achieved qualifications, in line with quality processes and data protection regulations.



Knowledge and Skills

* Extensive experience of teaching further education ideally within a custodial setting.
* Evidence of outstanding teaching delivery and a teaching qualification minimum AET.
* Extensive on site experience of all aspects of Dry Lining.
