Estimator for construction job vacancy in Sussex for permanent role

Your new company
Rapidly expanding Brighton based development business, with group turnover of £15m, is looking to recruit an Estimator . The Ideal candidate would be an experienced construction estimator with 7+ years experience to take on the estimating function of the business and work closely with the Operations Manager. Contracts range from £1m - £7m and are high specification conversion projects or new building bespoke homes. The company have serious growth plans for the next couple of years and are looking for an ambitious professional to join their team. Contracts are predominately Sussex based, and include both one off luxury dwellings and also flats and apartment projects - all to the highest specification finishes. The projects are exciting and prestigious in design and quality.

Your new role

* Experience in managing multiple tenders concurrently.
* Experience delivering complex tenders for build projects within both conversion and new build sectors.
* Obtain quotes from sub-contractors.
* Management of all tender submissions and negotiations through to procurement and cost management
* Reporting into directors and contributing to company meetings.
* Office is Brighton based and site visits generally in the Sussex area.

What you'll need to succeed

* Commercial aware
* A good communicator with sub-contractors, designers, clients etc
* Be able to build and maintaining relationships with principal contractors and suppliers
* Value manage cost solutions to the benefit of costing and programme
