Working for the Engineering Manager (remote) you will be responsible for:

• Technical lead of the electrical design team.
• Project focussed, liaising with mechanical and control system engineers to deliver technically advanced solutions.
• Work with the rest of the engineering department to ensure companywide efficiencies through improvements in processes, material selection, and technology.
• As an experienced electrical engineer, you will have direct technical responsibility for our larger hybrid projects – land- and marine-based systems, typically focussed around Danfoss drive technology.
• You will also be called on for your input, knowledge, and experience on other projects within the business.
• The job will be office-based (Rochester, Kent) but there will be a need to travel to customers based in the UK and abroad (mainly in Europe) to troubleshoot existing, and commission new systems.

Requirements for the Role:

Qualifications and experience -
• A degree in electrical engineering
• Ideally, experience with drive technology
• Ideally, experience with battery systems, typically in the 300 – 700V range

Knowledge and technical skills -
• Design using EPlan (AutoCAD for legacy projects)
• Design of electrical control panels and switchgear
• Setup and commissioning of complex systems, working alongside control engineers and others.
