A new instruction for a Regulatory Manager with a global manufacturing client specialising in the manufacture of personal care products.
This is a new position within the business and reports to the European Head of Regulatory.
The successful candidate can be based at their London hub or corporate address in Folkestone, Kent.
The role also offers attractive hybrid working. Ie. 50% working from home and 50% on site.

Ideal Experience/Background:
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of electrical devices and be an expert within one of the following 6 categories:
Cosmetics
Food supplements
Laundry
Medical devices
Pharma or Electrical.
The ideal bias would be electrical or food supplements.
Excellent communication skills and a background that includes some people management would also be desirable, as the role may take on people management responsibilities in the future.

Snapshot essentials of the position:
Ultimately, we are searching for an individual with a regulatory/quality background in fast moving consumer goods, medical devices, or pharmaceuticals.
You will be an expert in either consumer products or electrical devices.
Ideally a generalist within either dietary supplements or pharmaceuticals experience/knowledge.
The position of Regulatory Manager will involve liaising with stakeholders across the business so communication skills in terms of negotiation, influencing and decision making are all key in this role

Education:
University degree from an accredited institution in related field

37 Hours per week: Mon to Thur: 9am to 5pm. Fri: 9am to 4.30pm (requires flexibility for time zones and travel)
Based in London or Folkestone- 50% on site and 50% home working

The Role:
Reporting to the regional Regulatory Head, the Regulatory Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of compliance policies, processes and programs for the country business consisting of medicines, electrical products, dietary supplements and/or household consumer chemical products

The position will work closely with the regional Regulatory Head to ensure appropriate communication, escalation and prioritisation of issues.

The position is responsible for influencing Marketing, Sales, Quality, Legal, Supply Chain and R & D leaders to support identified improvements, as well as culture changes, to ensure an appropriate level of compliance risk within the business.

This position also has regulatory oversight of new product launches in the EU market, which include review, approval and release to market new product and any changes throughout the product lifecycle.
This position is also responsible for supporting regulatory inspections and certification audits and ensuring compliance of product realisation.

The role will be focusing on the UK/EU markets and therefore, in terms of travel this will be required in the role but will be less that 10%.
