Hays are working in partnership with a leading Children's Home provider with an impressive 97% of their homes rated good and outstanding, which is 18% better than providers nationally. Together we are recruiting for Senior Residential Support Workers for their homes in Folkestone and Gillingham in Kent.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker each day it will be your responsibility to provide the structure and repetition that are the safe foundations of a child's day; a warm, clean home, comfortable clothing, breakfast, school, lunch, dinner, clubs, bath, time to talk and bedtime.

What you'll need to succeed


* Driving licence
* At least 2 years experience within Residential Childcare and working alongside young people
* Level 3 Residential Childcare


Responsibilities


* Using life skills you will assist with the care of our children and young people, including practical aspects such as cooking and cleaning
* Creating positive relationships with the children, meeting their needs and safeguarding them at all times
* Within this leadership role you will give guidance and support to all residential workers
* Some children and young people may require high levels of supervision and support
* You will create timetables setting boundaries and expectations for the young people
