Application Form

Locality Development Coordinator

Up to £24,000

Canterbury, Kent

Imago

Maybe you are the person we’re looking for.

If you are organised, creative, resilient and ready for something new, then this could be the ideal opportunity for you! You’ll join our team delivering our project in East Kent supporting adults aged 55 and over, and others with complex needs, to maintain and improve their wellbeing, and develop resilience and confidence to help them live as independently as possible.

You’ll meet with people to find out what their needs and aspirations are, work together to create a plan, and then arrange tailored activity packages to meet individual needs. In doing so, you’ll provide practical and emotional support to help people access activities, and work with local partners to remove barriers.

You’ll research opportunities and organisations to find activities that match people’s interests and needs. This could be anything from a group Pilates class or cooking lessons to community gardening or photography sessions. You’ll work with providers at all levels to ensure activities are high quality, cost effective, and offer experiences that support people to achieve their personal goals and improve wellbeing.

Additionally, you will develop and deliver engaging face-to-face and online group sessions, working alongside experienced colleagues.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate and empower others. You should have relevant experience of working in social care, health, education, or the voluntary and community sector. Knowledge of local services and the ability to build effective networks with cross sector organisations is essential.

The post covers the Canterbury area, so a car driver is essential.
