To assist, as directed, with all aspects of the preparation of food and beverages to the standards required by

the school.



Part Time - 25 hours per week - Term Time

Monday to Friday - 9.30am to 2.30pm for 39 working weeks and 6.4 weeks' paid holiday



Duties and responsibilities



* Basic food preparation such as fresh vegetables and fruit, salad items and sandwiches.



* General cleaning of the kitchen and associated areas including all catering related



* equipment in accordance with the weekly/fortnightly cleaning schedule.



* Set up and clear away dining room, equipment cleaning counters and floor as required.



* In the absence of the chef manager, to check that food deliveries from suppliers are correct and put away in the appropriate storage areas.



* Washing up of all crockery and cutlery together with all food service equipment.



* Delivery of food and beverages around the school for students, visitors and staff meetings



* Deep cleaning of all kitchen areas will be required.



* To ensure that communication with students, staff, and other departments is effective andbcontributes to securing efficiency and high standards of care and personal development for students within a learning and residential environment.



* To maintain high standards of safety and observe good practice in relation to health and safety and safeguarding in all issues and report any concerns to line management.



* To pro-actively observe and comply with all school policies and procedures relating to child protection, equality and diversity, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection reporting all concerns to an appropriate person.



* To appropriately use the recording and reporting processes whenever appropriate.



* To maintain a flexible "can do" Approach



* Hours will be 9:30am - 2:30pm



* Monday to Friday
