Production / Machine Operator

Swale – must be a driver with own transport due to location

Monday to Friday – 40 hours per week, rotating shift patterns between 06.00 and 14.00

c. £21.5k-£22k + overtime + progression (opportunity to increase earnings)



A great opportunity has risen with our client based in the Swale area who are currently seeking a Production / Machine Operator to join their busy food production team within a factory based environment. Shifts tend to be 06.00-14.00 but there must be some flexibility dependent on demand – you may finish earlier/later at times.

Duties to include:

Working in a busy and targeted food production environment working in a variety of temperatures season dependent
Overseeing factory based food production machines to ensure good quality and efficient operation
Ensuring the correct quantities of product are manufactured in line with Production Plans
Stock management including documentation
Following Health and Safety regulations
Any other duties required

The successful candidate will have / be:

Solid experience in a relevant machine operator role, ideally within food production although other similar environments will be considered
A food hygiene certificate – not essential
Excellent communication skills with the ability to read Production Plans
Competence with IT
Good level of numeracy and literacy
Happy to work in a physically demanding role in varying temperatures
Driven with a desire to progress long term – progression available for the right person
