Responsibilities


* Be the first point of contact, receiving, prioritising, and assessing referrals for Communities services.
* Ensure referral processes are followed within timescales and that relevant systems are updated.
* Monitor the Communities Hub mailbox to ensure that all queries and referrals for support services are triaged effectively.
* Collaborate with colleagues across the business to ensure referrals to internal services are timely and accurate.
* Deliver excellent service to our customers, answering telephone and email queries ensuring all internal and external customers receive a genuine and positive experience.
* Provide support, information, and advice to individual residents to enable them to maximise their income, manage debts, budget, access on-line services and help sustain tenancies.
* Have a general awareness of the services offered by external agencies to enhance the implementation and delivery of support to our residents.
* Refer, signpost and support residents to independently access further services, welfare support, external grants and hardship funding streams as required to meet their needs.
* Support with the administration of financial transactions, including referrals for hardship and grant funding.
* Ensure that payments are processed and recorded in accordance with financial controls and that any queries are dealt with in a timely manner.
* Coordinate the access and distribution of food, energy or fuel vouchers efficiently and quickly ensuring all record keeping and administration is maintained.
* Deputise for the Performance and Reporting Officer and other staff within the team when required.
* Any other duties as required for the level of the post.

Experience and skills


* Able to work flexibly, prioritise and manage competing demands within a busy office environment.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure and meet tight timescales.
* The ability to liaise with colleagues, tenants, and external stakeholders.
* The ability to work using your own initiative and work as part of a team.

Desirable


* Experience of working with vulnerable groups.
* Understanding of outcomes reporting.
* Experience of supporting vulnerable groups with accessing welfare benefits.
