We are currently working with a leading manufacturing business based in Aylesford. Due to ongoing growth and success, they are recruiting an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

The Procurement Manager will be the key person for purchasing of stock items for the company.

Responsibilities will include:

Process purchase orders efficiently and effectively, goods receipting and invoicing
accurately on a daily basis.
Organise haulage efficiently and focus on demonstratable cost savings against a target / YOY cost down.
Monitor stock levels according to defined seasonalised safety stock levels with sales forecasting.
Ensure all goods are received and invoiced correctly, accurately and on time.
Communicate with hauliers to ensure smooth deliveries to customers and warehouse to enable OTIF deliveries.
Obtain POD's/ ETA's from hauliers and relay, communicate efficiently and effectively internally.
File and process claims for lost or damaged goods with hauliers and report accordingly.
Stock management - working with sales on customer forecasting, and warehouse on stock management to ensure the right level of inventory is held at any one time.
Liaise with sales on a daily basis to ensure that all collective orders/demand is understood and planned
Utilise the defined sales statistics budget for the year.
Supplier agreements - negotiation, set-up and management, review and enhance (ongoing)
Regularly reviewing performance indicators and KPI's.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

MCIPS Qualification is essential.
Minimum of 3 years of buying/purchasing experience in a relatable industry (Construction/Manufacturing).
Experience using Microsoft Office packages and an advanced understanding of Excel.
Great interpersonal skills.
Experienced with a good understanding of a buyer's role in a fast-paced environment, managing and prioritising workloads, planning accordingly and reporting as required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business that can offer ongoing training and development. Hours for this role will be Monday to Thursday 8.30 am-5 pm and Friday 8.30 am-2.30 pm. Benefits include a discretionary annual bonus, 25 days of holiday plus bank holidays and a 5% pension contribution.
