We are looking for someone with an excellent understanding of the voluntary sector to head our development team. This is a leadership level role, and you will manage a small team delivering community and strategic development activities that support our charity aims.
As Head of Development, you’ll attend engagement meetings and Local Strategic Partnerships, representing Imago and developing relationships with external partners, stakeholders and private businesses.

You will track statutory funding portals, identifying opportunities that match our strategic objectives, coordinating tender activities and supporting the wider Leadership Team. Additionally, you will research additional funding and community fundraising opportunities, and support funding proposals, grant applications and legacy donations.

It is expected that you will effectively lead and manage a team of staff to deliver objectives and meet targets, support monitoring, and undertake performance management, including supervision and appraisal.

Applicants must demonstrate creativity and innovation, and have strong collaboration and partnerships skills. You must be an effective communicator with the ability to write reports and proposals in a variety of styles. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, using your exceptional planning and organisational skills to manage tasks, whilst being aware of upcoming opportunities.
The post is based in Tunbridge Wells with opportunities for hybrid working. Car driver essential.
