A local Firm of Accountants in Tonbridge are looking to appoint an Audit Manager to their Firm. They are a multiple Partner Firm with an experience and friendly team. They pride themselves in providing high quality financial, business, accounting and tax services and support to a varied client`s base consisting of a wide range of clients. They are predominately based in the South East and London but also service clients further afield.

They are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to join their team, ideally, they are looking for someone who is an ACA or ACCA qualified auditor with experience. This role will be responsible for overseeing a varied portfolio of clients, providing audit services where required. You will work to support the Partners and mentor and monitor junior members of staff. The role will involve working with clients across all sectors, including medium/large corporate clients/companies, You will lead on audits, general practice and advisory and planning services. In turn the Firm offers the opportunity for you to develop your career and expand on your experience within a nurturing and commercial environment.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinating and developing auditing processes.
- overseeing in-charge and audit assistants` work, ensuring compliance with client and statutory audit methodology requirements, appreciating relevant internal and external market factors, ensuring the effective and timely delivery of engagements
- overseeing and directing the budgeting, planning, co-ordination, and control of engagements in accordance with client and statutory audit methodology and business requirements to ensure effective service delivery and maximised recoverability.
- Developing and implementing policies and procedures.
- Supervising and conducting independent audits.
- directing, coaching, and mentoring assistant managers to assist them in the effective delivery of engagements and the direction of their juniors, ensuring cost-effective, timely completion and effective service delivery to the required standard on each engagement.
- nurturing and seeking worthwhile relationships with clients, business departments and staff, for the sharing of information and to identify and progress current and future audit requirements.
- preparing and negotiating fee proposals for existing clients and assisting in forming propositions for new business assisting the senior leadership team in monitoring the effectiveness of audit services delivered, providing feedback and reflection on the quality of service accordingly.
- Preparing analysis for departments.
- Conducting investigations on irregularities and errors.
- Drafting recommendations on corrective measures, preparing reports to senior client management and audit committees.
- Advisory services, supporting and advising clients.
