My client is a privately owned SME business, with a long history and progressive growth plans to increase both market share and add new ventures.  To underpin this, there is a need now for a qualified Head of Finance to join the business. 

Working closely with the MD and local management team, this role has two chief aims; to ensure that the organisation has first class internal controls, reporting and procedures on a day to day basis and to provide commercial and strategic support to key decision making.  You`ll have the support of a small finance team but will undoubtedly enjoy and revel in a hands on role that will see you in the thick of the day to day workings of the business.  Your commercial acumen will be sought and challenged - especially when it comes to decisions that may well affect the overall direction of travel. 

As an individual, you`ll need to have experience of holding a similar, SME senior finance role.  You`ll enjoy the early autonomy of the role and the opportunity to work across the business.  By nature, you`ll need to be robust and see opportunities within the challenges that you`ll face.
