My client is an East Kent based School looking to recruit an HR Manager to the Senior Support Team.
The role is a broad, operational hands on role, where, with the support of an HR advisor, you will take responsibility for the ensuring a best in class HR service is offered to the School, imparting advice and support to a variety of staff and leading on a range of HR issues.
Main Duties include:
- Provide line managers with advice on a range of performance management issues, application of policy and processes, employee relations and HR reports
- Work with internal and external contacts to effectively manage ER casework
- Develop a recruitment and retention strategy for future workforce planning
- Reviewing pay and reward strategies
- Proactively support managers with HR workshops, training and development
- Develop a range of HR metrics and reports for a variety of applications across the school
- Manage and mentor the small HR team
- Work with the SLT for HR involvement on specific project
Applications are sought from HR professionals with good knowledge of employment law and sound HR fundamentals. Broad operational HR experience, with a strength on ER is required. CIPD qualification would enhance your application,. Sector experience is not deemed essential, but you will naturally be credible, with strong ethics, management and organisational skills. You`ll enjoy the early autonomy this role offers, with a real chance to impact the future direction of the school and its pupils.
