We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as our IT Business Engagement Manager for the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF). You will be an integral part of our IT team working closely with colleagues to ensure that the projects demands from our business areas are understood and prioritised appropriately within IT so we can deliver against CAF’s strategies and operational plans. As our IT Business Engagement Manager you will be:
• Be the primary contact point for all (project based) business engagement with IT
• Help business project stakeholders navigate the IT Project processes
• Arrange and facilitate business project consultancy and estimation workshops with relevant IT functions
• Facilitate and track business project resource requests to the relevant IT functions
• Balance the demands of the business against the demands of IT with a pragmatic approach and transparent communication.
• Ensure the key business stakeholders are kept up to date and informed of their progress.
• Build strong relationships with our business stakeholders so they understand the value IT delivers and challenges.
• Maintain a business project priority viewpoint and feed into relevant discussions
• Using appropriate techniques to gather, elicit, document and communicate business demand.
• Own the engagement and estimation process for business projects.
• Support the Head of Projects and Change in creating an positive and engaging environment

Skills required of our IT Business Engagement Manager:
• Proven ability to manage yourself effectively, to complete tasks to a given timeline, and to be adaptable to a fast changing environment.
• Proven experience of being able to build and manage relationships across IT and business stakeholders.
• Chair and facilitate cross functional meeting and workshops
• Proven experience of working in multiple projects across multiple project methodologies and across multiple applications
• You will have strong verbal, written and visual communication skills.
• You will be a self-starter and delivery focussed.
