The Multiple Intelligence Hub CIC (MIH) is a dynamic Well-being and Alternative Learning Provision, specialising as a Social Day Care Service for Children and Young People with SEND. We offer many opportunities to include Animal Assisted Activities, Gardening & Wildlife experiences, Recreational and Therapeutic activities, Woodcraft & Life Skills. We support individuals in both indoor & outdoor activities & encouraging Independent Living Skills.

This is an amazing opportunity for an ambitious and highly capable individual who is looking for a new challenge within this field. The chosen candidate will work alongside our growing team and be overseen by our Lead and Co-Ordinator Roles, with training and ongoing support to ensure they meet their objectives with competency and confidence.

The ideal person for this role will have all or some of the following:

· Experience of working with Children and Young People with SEND.

· Experience in Personal & Intimate Personal Care (In-date training preferred but can be offered within our training programmes)

· Social Care Support/Youth Work/ Community Work background. Experience working with ASC, Learning Disabilities, SEN Students and/or challenging behaviour

· Knowledge of many different types of learning difficulties and disabilities

· Experience preferred in Speech, Language and Communication aids, such as AAC, Makaton, PECs and/or SCERTS.

About the role:

· Aiding a Child/Young Person with 2:1 and/or 1:1 support encouraging Independent Living Skills and integrate as effectively as possible both in group situations and on his/her own.

· Supporting learning activities with other young people, either 1:1 or in a group setting.

· Assisting in required area of the young person. (e.g speech, language and communication, reading, personal and intimate care etc)

· Liaising with Co-Ordinators, Leads and our Management Team to ensure effective and productive daily tasks are carried out efficiently.

· Ensuring our Children & Young People are able to safely use equipment and materials provided.

Full time based on a 40hr week
