Job Title: Acoustic Engineer

Location: Mid Kent



This established company have a rare opening for a passionate Acoustic Engineer to build their acoustic product offering within their furniture sales and product development teams.



Key Responsibilities:

* Sharing acoustic technical expertise and enthusiasm to grow and develop this area of the business.
* Developing new and innovative acoustic concepts.
* Working with the New Product and Materials Development teams to design and launch new acoustic products.
* Attend on site customer meetings to provide technical support to sales reps, ensuring customer requirements are fully understood, and providing technical solutions.
* Improving noise and vibration within customer spaces through acoustic investigation, assessment, and design services.
* Developing and delivering product training to colleagues across the business to build knowledge and understanding.

The successful candidate will have:

* Extensive technical knowledge and understanding of the science of Acoustics, ideally with a related degree level qualification.
* Eligibility to join, or membership of, the Institute of Acoustics.
* Understanding of acoustics standards and knowledge of sound masking.
* Experience within a customer facing technical sales role.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to understand technical information and communicate complex technical information concisely and simply.
* Flexibility to travel within the UK regularly, and at times internationally, to visit customers.
* Passion, confidence and approachability.
