Part-time Finance Officer

Our client, in the Ramsgate area, are seeking a part-time Finance Officer to join their busy team.

This is a flexible 22.5hr week, with the possibility of some home working included. Our client is happy for you to suggest days/hours of work! £13.51 to £16 per hour, depending on experience.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, your duties will consist of, but are not limited to:

Ensuring complex monthly recharges are actioned; plan workload to meet deadlines; handle complex invoice queries; ensure invoices are raised monthly and income allocated correctly; track and chase debtors; ensure all invoices are added in a timely manner; identify variations in budgets; add invoices to Tradeshift; maintain the fixed asset list; handle and resolve queries; bank reconciliation; track & monitor income; assist with year-end; provide information for statutory accounts; investigate and resolve difficult queries; provide training and support on the use of Sage; assist with other team duties when colleagues are on annual leave; raise invoices; receive & pay pre-approved GP/Locum invoices; support with budgets.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

* AAT Member or equivalent experience to Degree level.
* Appropriate demonstrable experience in a Finance setting.
* Knowledge and understanding of Management Accounting.
* Experience and knowledge in the use of SAGE.
* Experience in explaining financial queries and information to finance and non-finance staff.
* Detailed understanding of accounting procedures.
* IT skills with ability to use Microsoft Excel to an advanced level.
* Ability to understand complex financial information.
* Good time management skills & ability to work effectively within a team.
* Ability to suggest and produce new approaches to problems.
* Ability to deal confidently and diplomatically with colleagues at all levels including the handling of confidential/sensitive information.

Evidence of continued professional development and finance experience within the NHS/Primary Care will be considered favourably.
