Our client, a large, international organisation based in Kent, is looking to attract a Commercial Finance Manager to join their established finance function. This is a permanent opportunity with the business offering agile working with 2/3 days working in the office.

In this role you will be the lead Financial Partner and point of contact for UK Business Units for all customer & product pricing and profitability

Main responsibilities include
• Financial lead for external and internal pricing and profitability
o Evaluation, recommendation and financial approval for customer deals, discounts & promotions
o Appraisal and recommendations for new business decisions
o Audit and recommendations for existing business
o Transfer pricing process
o Contribution analysis, commentary and recommendations for further actions
o Finance project lead for profitability and pricing initiatives
• Participation in CSG meetings to partner, challenge and improve decision making, business plans and projections
• Support to other commercial teams involved in pricing, contribution & decision making
• Responsible for management of Commercial Finance Business Partner including
o Accurate and timely financial reporting for the UK and Ireland
o Actual, forecast, latest estimate, budget and scenario planning financial data
o S&OP participation and input
• Partner Commercial and Customer Relationship teams to improve data quality, transparency and put in place efficiencies for the claims, rebate and discounts process
• Supporting Business Controlling team in process optimisation and continuous improvement activities
• Participation in ad-hoc business development projects
• Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team in their professional development

What you will need
• CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified/finalist, experienced in financial business partnering and complex sales and rebates structures
• Resilient professional, used to working in busy environment with Corporate accounting and reporting requirements
• Proactive well organized style with the ability to respond to changing business needs - able to work without regular supervision but still produce high caliber work
• Excellent communicatory, able to produce high quality reports presenting complex information that is easily understood by both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• Expert IT User able to produce robust, efficient, flexible financial models for scenario planning, forecasting, pricing, profitability etc
• Process leader - able to respect existing processes whilst looking for continuous improvement and influence positive change
