About us

Veetee is a SME food manufacturing business, mainly producing rice and grain products. We have two factories and a warehouse over three sites in Rochester, one manufacturing site in India and a Sales & Distribution team in the USA. We provide products to most of the large Food Retailers.

Job Purpose:

To work as part of a busy warehouse team, working closely with other Veetee Operational teams in the factory, such as production, Engineering, QA, and Hygiene.

Responsibilities:

• Customer order picking.
• Goods in unloading and racking away.
• Loading / unloading lorries.
• Picking materials and ingredients for production work.
• Putting away pallets from production into racking.
• Tidying the warehouse.
• Assisting other departments.
• Complete ad-hoc tasks as required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• Counterbalance and High Reach Forklift Truck licensed with substantial current and previous experience is essential.
• Experience and understanding of IT stock control systems, basic to intermediate level computer skills.
• Knowledge and experience of working in a busy warehouse environment.
• Understanding of stock control and the importance of accurate record keeping.
• Flexible and willing to take on various tasks as well as cover different shift patterns to cover absence/holiday and overtime as required.
• Self-motivated and ability to use own initiative.

Shift Pattern:

• Fixed days, 4 on 4 off, 6am to 6pm.
• Overtime available.
