About the role:

We currently have a vacancy for two Automation Project Engineers to join our Innovation team.
To identify automation opportunities and support the introduction of automation systems and processes from early scoping, specification, design, maintenance and through to implementation and hand over to improve operational productivity and / or to reduce manufacturing cost.
Provide technical support for all aspects of on-site automation relating to programming, training, maintenance, and fault finding.

Person Specification:
Our ideal candidate will have the following knowledge, experience, skillset and
behaviours:
• Responsible for design, specification and introduction of scalable automation and control systems.
• Create and present feasibility reports & URS (user requirement specification) documentation for identified automation opportunities.
• Ensure change control processes are adhered to and any changes suitably documented
• Create and coordinate project teams to achieve the agreed project outcomes.
• Ensure all automation projects are embedded with the local teams for seamless handover.
• In all automation projects the person will be automation project technical lead whilst being responsible for project management activities.
• Provide technical and feasibility support for all aspects of automation fault finding and improvements.
• Identify and coordinate automation training opportunities for self and colleagues.
• Liaise with automation teams within Polypipe group to share knowledge.
• Drive company values and promote an environment of continuous improvement.

Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8.30am-3pm.
Salary: Between £38,000 - £42,000 per annum plus 25 days holiday plus more
