I am working with a fresh produce organisation based in Paddock Wood who are looking to expand their team by recruiting an Account Manager to be the key contact for accounts and will be responsible for ensuring full availability for the customer and that service levels are met through effective forecasting, demand planning, and anticipation of supply gaps. Responsible for maintaining and growing sales.


Day to day duties of the account manager:
• Key point of contact for the key account buyer and supply chain team.
• Acts as lead for promoting, advancing, developing and managing the customer relationship in order to maintain sales, elevate growth, uphold the supplier reputation and deliver on service level agreements, budget and rebate rates
• Has an awareness of and utilises knowledge of competitor strategy and market focus to gain business advantage
• Maintains systems to ensure accuracy of stock movements, financial forecasting and invoicing whilst maintaining a thorough understanding of the profitability of customer activity.
• Assist the commercial manager in negotiating and agreeing customer prices and volumes to maintain and increase profit margins whilst guarding against losses, adhering to customer guidelines.


Key skills and experience required for the account manager:
• Experience of working in the fresh produce industry.
• Experience in a retail customer relationship role.
• Experience in or relevant knowledge of planning & supply chain role
• Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Good negotiation skills, the ability to plan strategically.


Extra info for the account manager:
• Full time permanent role
• Salary depending on experience £37-£42k
• Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm
