Children & Young People Siblings Support Coordinator

Up to £24,000

Maidstone, Kent

Imago

Be part of something amazing!

We have worked with Young Carers for a long time and know that young people who grow up with a brother of sister with a lifelong disability or serious medical conditions face specific challenges. They often feel alone and experience low self-esteem and confidence. But you can make a difference.

We have developed a dedicated role to support these siblings and provide the right support at the right time to them and their family. This might mean providing information, guidance, support and advocacy… or arranging fun respite activities... or developing family forums so that people can share their experiences and support each other.

It’s vital that schools, professionals and communities understand how they can support these Young Carer siblings, so you will raise awareness by delivering presentations and attending professional meetings.

Applicants should be organised, proactive and confident, with experience of working with young people and families in social care, health, education or the voluntary and community sector.

This role requires you to work both independently and as part of a wider team to achieve targets and outcomes. You’ll join our experienced Children and Young People service, and cover the Maidstone and Swale. Car driver essential.

Start making an impact. It’s life changing.
We offer our employees:
• Inclusive values-based environment
• Competitive remuneration package
• Workplace pension scheme
• Generous 31 days annual leave entitlement plus bank holidays
• Opportunities for hybrid working
• Benenden Health Care
• Death in Service Benefit
• Cycle to Work Scheme
• Employee Supported Volunteering scheme
• Development opportunities
• and more
