An acquisitive and highly successful services business in Kent is looking to appoint an Interim Finance Manager for a minimum period of 6
months.

Reporting into the Head of Finance, the objective of the interim Finance Manager role is to centralise the finance activities from one of the business divisions to the central finance team. This individual will evaluate activity, produce process notes and training guides that align with the wider group and agree service level agreements with the operating division. One such immediate project is the recruitment and establishment of a central team to perform the finance functions of the eleven businesses in the Division.

The role will be based in the Sevenoak’s offices with the option to work from home on a hybrid basis.

The Role
• Centralising the remaining finance function from one business Division to the central finance team. Including the recruitment of the central
team.
• Produce an efficient and accurate sales invoicing process on a monthly cycle, ensuring the new Sage X3 accounting system reflects all
sales invoice activity.
• Generate performance and business metrics and improved ways of working to establish and improve the Credit Control function
• Process map the current Client Money operations and agree with the business a streamlined approach when centralising, this will include
working with the treasury department to open new accounts and develop systems to ensure accurate recording of transactions.
• Support the payroll team where needed during the transfer of payrolls to the central team
• Work closely with other members of the finance team to ensure new processes align with the group and provide a smooth hand over at
the end of the project.
• Provide guidance and support to the operational business teams during this period of change

Candidate Profile
• Strong all-round experience in finance
• Project Management and Team Leader experience
• Good communicator with strong interpersonal skill and emotional intelligence
• Proven track record of succeeding in a deadline driven environment, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• A desire to drive improved business processes and performance
• Able to work autonomously and flexibly
• Positive enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude
• Strong excel, analysis and presentation skills
