Based in the stunning setting of the Precincts of Canterbury Cathedral and St Augustine’s Abbey, a World Heritage Site, The King’s School is one of the oldest and most prestigious Schools in the country with an enviable record of academic excellence and achievement.

We are seeking to appoint several Academic and Pastoral Assistants to act as additional members of staff, supporting the academic departments and engaging in all aspects of school life from the academic to the pastoral, starting in either September, November or January.

Working closely with academic and non-academic colleagues, dependent on the skill set of the post holders, duties may include:

• Covering lessons, with work set by the regular teacher/Head of Department
• Taking registers and reporting concerns
• Occasional Exam invigilation
• Support for extra-curricular games and activities
• Accompanying trips during the school day
• Helping with supervision in day or boarding houses
