Are you looking for a short-term role utilising your tender writing and quality assurance expertise?

Do you have an aptitude for clear and concise communication and producing accurate work when handling time-critical tasks?

If so, we would welcome your application for this Tenders and Contracts Officer role within our Lifelong Learning team. This post is full-time for three months and based at our Medway Campus, and has been created to provide short-term support in the area of compliance in the administrative processes that underpin our work, alongside providing support for our commercial activity.

You will thrive in a busy working environment and have an ability to respond positively to changing priorities.

As Tenders and Contracts Officer, you can expect to get involved in:

drafting tenders, contracts and applications for external funding to grow the University's apprenticeship provision
monitoring the publication of tenders for apprenticeship and other provision
working with quality, improvement and compliance colleagues to ensure all tenders, contracts and provision is compliant with university and external regulatory body requirements
What we are looking for in the right candidate:

a degree level qualification or the equivalent experience, plus GCSE English and Maths at grade 4/C or above
experience of monitoring the publication of tenders for apprenticeship provision or similar and writing successful tenders
knowledge of quality assurance processes in a relevant context
excellent communication skills and the ability to resolve competing project issues and time-critical demands
