Role

* To assist with the overall management of the mechanical and electrical building services delivery teams.
* To support the overall management of the procurement process, working in conjunction with the estimating and design team.
* Programming and resourcing labour, sub-contractors and materials.
* Site management, progressing works & liaising with clients, including variations & remedial works.
* Ensuring compliance with company procedures and reporting to the Mechanical Project Manager.
* Informing the finance department of major plant and sub-contractor expenditures during the projects duration to ensure this is allowed for in the company's cash flow account.
* Provide support and cover when the Mechanical Project Manager is on annual leave

The right candidate will have / be:

* Obtained or be working towards a HNC/HND in Building Services or similar
* Their NVQ Level 3 Heating & ventilation or similar
* A high level of knowledge in commercial and contractual issues in a project environment.
* A high level of business awareness.
* The ability to assist in the management on complex projects, determined by budget, technical variance and managed by third parties.
* The ability to initiate and create project plans.
* The ability to grasp and document details.
* Smart in appearance.
* Someone who promotes and reinforces attitudes and actions that are based on continuously improving client satisfaction and service levels.
* Results orientated and practical.
* Experience setting and managing department internal budgets
* Good business negotiating skills.
* Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
* The ability to understand complex systems and solve technical problems.
* The ability to motivate both directly employed and sub-contract labour.
* The ability to challenge the status quo.
* Able to provide constructive feedback to others to help improve performance.
