Personal Tax Manager:

Goldhawk Associates are working with an established firm of Accountants, supporting them to appoint a Personal Tax Manager. Based near West Malling this opportunity can offer a nurturing environment with a supportive attitude towards development and training and where progression is encouraged. They are a niche independent tax planning and business consultancy practice in Kent. They provide integrated advice to private clients and their businesses on all aspects of tax planning, business consultancy, and financial management. They focus on the planning needs of high-net-worth individuals in the following areas, Owner managers, Property investors, and International clients

This role would suit an experienced tax professional. You will work within this small but established team, you will gain exposure to a varied client base, and will be engaging directly with clients so good communications skills are key.

You will be responsible for:
- Planning and supervising the preparation of all personal returns together with managing all aspects of personal tax compliance for a portfolio of (200+) clients
- Providing written and verbal tax advisory services to clients
- Manage client portfolio to ensure a good quality of service is given to clients
- Lead weekly planning and scheduling meetings
- Manage, motivate and supervise support staff
- Where appropriate review work prepared by other team members
- To research detailed technical matters and report thereon
- Liaise with professional bodies (ICAEW, ACCA) and suppliers/advisors
- Maintain time records and monitor performance against budget and proposed fees
- Prepare and conduct presentations/proposals and advice letters to clients, potential clients, and staff
- Onboard new clients
- Write a monthly article for website/social media
- Internal (on the job) training of team members
- Keep technically up to date
- To contribute to the firm`s practice development
