Goldhawk Associates are working with a local specialist firm in Kent who are looking for a Payroll Administrator to join their team. They are looking for someone to work within their team to support their client base by providing payroll services. They have about 50 payrolls of varying complexity so it is essentially running the payrolls, processing changes, uploading pensions to NEST/Smart, sending payslips (through our software), and answering payroll queries. At the end of each tax year, there is also P11d reporting and PSA applications.

They are looking for a reliable and hardworking individual with a proven track record of success in payroll administration and management. You must have the ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders and liaise with the clients directly being the first point of contract regarding all payroll queries. They require a highly organised person, with attention to detail, they are a fast-paced team so they need someone who can work well in this type of environment.

You will be responsible for:

-High volumes of payrolls including varying numbers and payment terms
-Dealing will all payroll administration
-Managing all queries and running the payroll from start to finish in an accurate and timely manner.
-Dealing with pensions, maternity, sick pay, payroll planning, and processing
-To be confident with the processing of P45s, P46`s, P11ds SMP, SPP, auto-enrolment, answering tax queries, and following months and year-end procedures
-Dealing with work related enquiries from all employees, senior members of staff, external agencies, and statutory bodies including HM Revenue & Customs, the courts, CSA, and pension providers.
-You must gather monthly and weekly payroll data and efficiently process it in efficiently dealing with new starters and leavers, pensions, and share schemes
-Running the payroll and producing timely and accurate payroll reports, checking and reconciling monthly, weekly, and yearly payroll reports in line with legislative compliance
-Efficient in manual calculations of employees` PAYE, NIC & Student Loans from gross to net pay - using current PAYE & NIC rates & thresholds and Statutory benefits regulations to provide accurate answers to the employee`s frequently asked questions about tax being too high

It is essential that you have attention to detail and can work well with minimal supervision. That you are experienced in working within this field or experience of working in an outsourced payroll bureau. Strong ICT skills, Sage and Star experience will be beneficial.
