GEOGRAPHY/MATHEMATICS GRADUATE TRAINEE Catastrophe Analyst to c£30,000

City based - hybrid working

Leading Lloyds Broker is seeking to recruit a Catastrophe Analyst to assist in the set-up of catastrophe modelling function, using previous experiences to build new opportunities for the business and to help deliver exceptional service to support the company in maintaining and developing relationships. The candidate will have strong communication skills as the role will involve frequent levels of phone/ email/ face-to-face meeting with brokers, clients and markets.

Main Duties - End-to-end risk capture an catastrophe modelling of contracts

* Analysis of contracts including identifying key drivers
* Presenting of reports
* Carry out sensitivity testing on contracts
* Continuous research in developments of the catastrophe modelling field
* Quality checks on work to adhere to minimum standards
* Training of colleagues, both internally and externally, including understanding and use of catastrophe models and outputs
* Assist in developing analytical reports within the division

Education/ training/

Qualifications required - Minimum A level Qualification if you have a degree then Geography or Mathematics is preferred.

* Strong IT skills including Excel
* SQL, Python, CAT modelling a definite plus but not essential

Knowledge / Skills/

Abilities required - Strong analytical and problem solving skills

* Ability to work within a team or individually
* High attention to detail
* Strong communication skills written and verbal
* Ability to prioritise workload and time effectively
