Are you an adept administrator who is used to working accurately in a fast-paced environment?

If so, this full time, 18 months fixed term opportunity could be for you. Working within the University’s Payroll and Pensions Team you will ensure the accurate and efficient day to day administration of the SAUL and NEST pension schemes for eligible University and Kent Union employees.

In this role you will ensure the complete processing of pension contributions to SAUL on a month to month basis together with all other duties from communicating joiners, amendments, leaver notifications and requesting and checking retirement quotations.

As Pensions Clerk your day-to-day work will include:

Completing the appropriate SAUL and NEST documentation for newly-enrolled members
Responding to queries from prospective, existing, newly enrolled and retired members of SAUL and NEST
Entering information into, and assist with the maintenance of, pension records within the HR/Payroll system
Ensuring that the calculation, collection & payment of contributions to SAUL and NEST is correct and in accordance with the Trust Deed and Rules of the schemes
What we are looking for in the right candidate:

Proven experience of working in a pensions and payroll environment
Good working knowledge of pensions statutory requirements
Good working knowledge of the application of payroll deductions in respect of pension contributions
Confidence and accuracy when working with figures
