Job Description

This entry-level role will give the right candidate the opportunity to contribute to the on-going manufacturing, new product development and completion of the finished product. Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions can lead to costly non-conformances/ scrapped products and the delay of planned schedules.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Correctly and safely utilize the R&D lab facility and equipment to perform inspection and testing for the evaluation of components and processes to support R&D projects.
· Performs product/component inspection and testing, calibrates test equipment, and organizes and maintains laboratory equipment and supplies.
· Prepares worksheets for data collection, performs data entry, and analyzes test data.
· Assists in the development, documentation, and validation of non-standard test methods.
· Interfaces with all functional departments by providing written feedback on product testing and aging studies and also by assisting technical specialist or Engineer in project work.
· Provides support in troubleshooting and problem solving.
· Builds custom prototype samples for development purposes.
· Aids in the validation activities of equipment, processes, and product.
· All other duties as assigned.
· This position is required to assure compliance of Company operations to all applicable laws, regulations and standards, good business practices and company documented procedures (including knowledge of all standards, government occupational health and environmental regulations and statutes related to the site).
· Engage others, promote, and participate in Environmental, Health, and Safety initiatives, focusing on continuous improvement.

The Individual

· High school diploma required with 1-year minimum work experience in a manufacturing, technical or quality field or an Associate degree or college course work in a related field.
· Experience with laboratory methods and analytical test equipment.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills.
· Motivated individual with the ability to work well independently and with others.
· Good mechanical hands-on ability.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
· Knowledge of basic statistics.
· Strong technical, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
· Proficient computer skills (MS Windows, MS Office applications).
· Working knowledge of statistical software, a plus (e.g. Minitab)
