This role is working for a National Healthcare Charity, who are expanding during this busy time.

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, the Fundraising Officer will be responsible for raising income through community fundraising, grants/trusts and developing other key income streams: major donors, regular giving, and legacies. The role will also support the Head of Fundraising with all aspects of administration including gift processing and thanking, donor stewardship and fundraising events.

Duties include:

* Contributing to the fundraising strategy
* Manage, support, and develop imaginative fundraising and events activities
* Assist the Head of Fundraising with the development of the Major Donor and Corporate income streams
* Assist with the Development of the regular giving, employing data segmentation and targeted approaches
* Contribute to bid writing for grant/trust applications.
* Inspire new supporters to raise income, while maintaining and developing relationships with existing supporters
* Fundraising administration and reporting
* Contribute to the monthly e-newsletter
* Working with the Web and Digital Officer, ensure the website is up to date in content
* Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to recruit fundraising volunteers to create and participate in fundraising events
* Work with the Communications team to ensure social media posts and other promotion opportunities are carefully planned and well executed

Essential requirements:

* Proven experience within fundraising
* An Institute of Fundraising qualification
* An understanding of the moves management system for Major Donor Fundraising
* Experience of charity fundraising over a range of disciplines
* Must be an excellent relationship builder, able to engage and build at a variety of levels
* * Experience/knowledge of UK grant/trust applications.
* * Proven track record of meeting fundraising targets.
